Starter Pack

The starter pack contains relevant forms and information for boat builders who are not familiar with Seafish. The pack is available to download free-of-charge from this site and all documents within the pack are in pdf format, requiring Adobe Reader to open them for reading or printing (if you do not have Adobe Reader, there is a link on the home page of this site that will take you to the download site).

The starter pack consists of two folders, one containing fishing vessel documents and another containing work boat documents, both of which are stored in one main folder identified as the Starter Pack.

To download the pack, simply click on the link provided below. You will then be asked if you wish to 'open' or 'save' the file. Both options will result in the folder being transferred to your computer, each as follows:

- If you select to 'open' the file (recommended), the download will commence. Once the file has been transferred, a dialogue box will appear providing you with the option to select a location you wish to unzip the file to. The file is a self-extracting winzip file which will unzip itself into the location you choose. Click on the 'Browse' button and select a location (if you don't select a location, the file will be placed in your Temp folder). After this, click on the 'Unzip' button and the starter pack will be placed in the location chosen. Upon completion, close the dialogue box.

- If you opt to 'save' the file, you will be asked for a location to save the file to and the file will be downloaded as a self-extracting winzip file. No additional software is required to open this file. Once the transfer is complete, you will need to double-click on the self-extracting file to open it. A dialogue box will then appear providing you with the option to select the location you wish to unzip the file to. Click on the 'Browse' button and select a location (if you don't select a location, the file will be placed in your Temp folder). After this, click on the 'Unzip' button and the starter pack will be placed in the location chosen. Upon completion, close the dialogue box.

Seafish also grants the right for any individual to print the Seafish Construction Standards for their own use in connection with the construction of fishing vessels which require Seafish certification. However, the Seafish Construction Standards may not be sold in any format to any individual or party. Seafish shall not be liable for any damage or financial loss arising from the download or self-extraction process. Downloading the file constitutes acceptance of these terms & conditions.
