Welcome to Seafish Marine Services

As part of Seafish, the primary function of Seafish Marine Services is to uphold and improve the level of safety at sea within the fishing industry. Our marine survey team offers a comprehensive range of services, not just to the fishing sector, but to boat builders and prospective boat owners in general. Services include the survey and certification of fishing boats and workboats up to 24m registered length, consultancy, LSA inspections, condition surveys, re-measurement and tonnage calculation.

As a foundation for the certification process, Marine Services has its own set of Construction Standards which are widely used throughout the UK and international maritime community. In addition, Marine Services regularly embarks upon projects aimed at improving safety on board vessels, details of which can be viewed on this website, and the Kingfisher team within Marine Services also provides a service offering information on sub-sea hazards.
